Accent Coaching

Specialising in Australian, British RP, and General American. I am highly skilled and experienced in learning accents, and when I moved to the U.S.A I quickly learned the techniques to perform in a native-standard accent. (Often to my detriment - some audience members insisted I couldn't have been in that play "because that character was American"!)

Scene Study

My training is from the London Academy of Music And Dramatic Art. I teach the basics of Yat Malmgren's Laban Movement Psychology as a way in to characterisation and script analysis. My directorial debut was Offie-nominated and I can help you prepare for auditions, learn new skills, or brush up old ones. Come by yourself or bring a scene partner.

Dramaturgy

My approach to giving feedback is informed by Liz Lehrman's Critical Response Method. I will provide you with a detailed report including a summary of your script (helpful for when you can't see the wood for the trees), questions, opinions and suggestions. I can also answer any specific questions you have.
